Knightmare Live began life back in 2013 when Creative Director Paul Flannery took it to the Edinburgh Festival. The show enjoyed a sell out run and immense critical acclaim.
A UK tour quickly followed, along with more visits to the Fringe, and culminated in a one off performance at the Lyric Theatre on Shaftsbury Avenue in the heart of London’s West End. Hugo Myatt (The original Treguard) appeared in a surprise cameo that brought the house down.
The show itself features an off-beat brand of improvisation, comedy and large puppets. Players must solve riddles, avoid traps and out wit monsters if they are to survive. We currently have over 500 confirmed ‘kills’. Oooooh Nasty!
Audiences are encouraged to bring quest items with them for us to use in the show and also submit their names via email for a chance to play in the helmet.
The job of guiding the dungeoneer usually falls to a pair of comedians or performers. It’s hard enough trying to solve riddles from a wall without several hundred people shouting at you.
KML continues to tour sporadically and has found a home at various Conventions around the UK.
